    Job Summary:


    Works with SonoSite functional management to provide a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment. 


    Essential Job Functions:


    Facility Operations Management

    • Establishes service contracts including custodial, security, HVAC, laundry/uniform, printers, projectors, calibration and consumable supplies
    • Develops strategic plans and prepares business proposals for improving costs, security, and uptime of our building and equipment infrastructure as well as reducing our waste stream including non-renewable waste and energy consumption
    • Maintains approved vendor lists for all facilities vendors and measure the performance of these suppliers with feedback sent to supplier’s Sr. Management in regular intervals.
    • Provides project management through capital improvement projects including landlord approvals, specifications, scope, design, budgets, costs, scheduling, inspections, construction quality, safety and final walk-through
    • Facilitates office/cubicle changes, including requirements, layouts, office furniture, seating plans and all change/move implementation logistics
    • Manages facilities readiness for large meetings and events held on premise.
    • Develops and implements emergency procedures, ensuring disaster recovery and safety plans are in place to ensure continuing operation.
    • Manages and optimizes all corporate policies, processes and procedures regarding Environmental Health and Safety.
    • Oversees all chemical/environmental and HAZMAT compliance per federal, state, and local regulations including Chemical Handling and Waste Processing, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazard Communication, and Decontamination
    • Performs internal audits relative to corporate safety.

    Equipment Maintenance

    • Ensures the facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner
    • Ensures rapid an effective problem solving for unplanned equipment downtime of any facilities infrastructure or manufacturing equipment.
    • Manages personnel and activities associated with preventative/predictive maintenance and calibration. Ensures all machinery, tools and instruments used to develop and produce FUJIFILM SonoSite products perform as needed and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. 
    • Conducts routine audits and inspections to ensure facilities and manufacturing equipment are being properly maintained, vendors are performing per their contracts, safety and security systems are operating properly.
    • Maintains records of all calibrations, inspections, cleanings and repairs to buildings or equipment including performance metrics such as work on-time and equipment uptime.
    • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.


    Knowledge and Experience:


    • Experience in all aspects of facility management and maintenance, including security, HVAC, custodial, food and beverage, general capital improvements, and facility planning.
    • Knowledge of OSHA and WISHA requirements and local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety and environmental concerns.
    • BA or equivalent experience.
    • Experience working in the medical device or other regulated industry (Preferred)
    • Familiar with Washington State, King County and industrial building codes. (Preferred).
    • Experience managing and improving production equipment preventive maintenance programs and calibration programs.
