    Job Summary:


    The Operations Program Manager–New Products role coordinates FUJIFILM SonoSite’s Operations program requirements for New Product Introductions to the core product teams on time, with superior product quality and maximum customer availability.

    NPI's are pivotal to the fast-paced development and launch of FUJIFILM SonoSite’s products. A successful Operations Program Manager is a natural leader and facilitator; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program/ project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment
    and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts.

    Furthermore, this individual is the team leader within Operations and primary Operations interface to the core product development team and other functional organizations within FUJIFILM SonoSite for all new product introduction related issues.

    Overall mission is a successful product launch defined by meeting schedule, availability, cost targets and customer experience goals.


    Essential Job Functions:


    • Lead the cross-functional operations teams, including Operations Engineering, Commodity Management, Supply Chain, and Materials teams.
    • Work with Supply Chain, Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering to identify and qualify robust suppliers – cost, lead time, quality, and reliability.
    • Act as the primary leader and point of contact for all FUJIFILM SonoSite Operations related issues.
    • Understand and coordinate Operations and Supply Chain Program requirements.
    • Partner closely with Design Engineering and Value Stream Teams to assess and drive all program risks.
    • Plan and drive execution of all Engineering development builds through to initial ramp.
    • Engage early in the NPI development process and carry through to volume production.
    • Manage all project related communications, including project status and escalations to Senior and Executive staff teams. Develop, communicate, and status Operations schedules.
    • Determine and secure Operations resource needs to support program (personnel and assets) and ensure coordination for Operations capital and spend requirements.
    • Develop new or improved technology/capabilities need to support NPI programs both internally or externally.
    • Drive a risk based approach to production preparation.  Drive necessary BOM, drawing, product costs and readiness reviews to ensure all Operations functions are ready for next NPI cycle
      Ensure DFx activities to achieve 100% resolution of manufacturing issues.
    • Work with Strategic Sourcing to develop and implement Manufacturing Service Agreements and Statements of Work with key suppliers.
    • Work with Contract Manufacturer (CM) to ensure all BOMs, AVLs, and associated data elements are in place to support planning, procurement, build, and ship processes.
      Work with CM to drive material and build readiness for prototype, pre-production, and production ramp builds in adherence to schedule requirements.
    • Work with CM to ensure all change activity (ECN, variances, deviations) is implemented accurately and effectively to support program schedule.
    • Assess Operations process effectiveness and drive for continued improvements.


    Knowledge and Experience:


    • 7+ years’ relevant experience in an Operations/Manufacturing environment; hands on-manufacturing experience on manufacturing floor.
    • Experience in Manufacturing New Product Introduction and Sustaining Project Management.
    • Experience working within a global Contract Manufacturers model, specifically with Far East Manufacturing.
      Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

    • Ability to establish trust and confidence with customers, employees, peers and executives while driving for results.
    • Understand (interpret) financial summaries, supply chain, cost structure and cost reduction strategies for products.
    • Understand engineering documentation; product development processes to be able to discuss with supplier.
