The Senior Director is a strategic and proactive role designed to enhance the effectiveness of the SVP of Global Expansions.

This role exists to ensure seamless communication, manage tasks and projects, foster organizational collaboration at platform level, and support the development of strategic initiatives. The Senior Director will synthesize complex information into compelling presentations, provide strategic insights, and oversee the execution of department strategies. The role will have 1-2 direct reports, up to 10 indirect reports and reports directly into the SVP Global Expansions, who is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Effective Communication: Serve as a liaison between SVP Global Expansions and internal/external stakeholders, translating the vision and goals into actionable directives. Facilitate senior level staff meetings.
• Effective Communication: Facilitate alignment across teams by ensuring clear and efficient communication, networking effectively, and building the Global Expansions brand.
• Task/Project Follow-Up: Monitor and track progress on tasks and projects initiated by the SVP Global Expansions coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely completion. Provide status updates, proactively identify bottlenecks, and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Strategic Support: Provide strategic insights and recommendations, assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation, and oversee the execution of strategy.
• Presentation Development: Transform complex information, data, and project updates into concise and impactful presentations. Craft presentations that effectively convey key messages, insights, and strategic initiatives to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Interpersonal Skills: Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the organization. Collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and executives to drive alignment and foster teamwork. Inspire and motivate the organization.
• Independent Work: Operate autonomously and take ownership of tasks and projects, making informed decisions and executing initiatives with minimal guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Life Sciences, Management, Business Administration or a related field

• Profound leadership experience at senior level (+10 years).

• Proven experience in a chief of staff role, supporting senior executives or leadership teams (+15 years).

• Has 15+ years experience in leading global sites to a quality mindset that adheres to the regulations.

• Excellent understanding of business, value chain, and pharmaceutical industry as well as strong stakeholder and collaboration skills in a multinational context.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.

  Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging and influencing diverse audiences.

  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  Strategic thinker with analytical capabilities to gather and synthesize information for decision-making.

Decision Making and Influence

• This position directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of the departments within the responsibility of the SVP Global Expansions; at company level at FB and coordinating across HLUS. The successful applicant with influence the strengthening of compliance oversight and risk mitigation through systematic data reporting and early identification of potential high-risk areas, allowing for timely intervention. 
• Influences strategic initiatives and operational improvements within the organization.
• Maintains high-level liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the SVP Global Expansions vision and goals.
• Requires a high degree of decisiveness and prioritization to resolve complex issues and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Operates with significant autonomy, making informed decisions and providing strategic recommendations with minimal supervision.
