The Role

 

The Production Supervisor - Processing will supervise the Pueblo manufacturing production area, providing reinforcement of key safety and operating protocols, training employees, managing process quality and output, system troubleshooting, managing transactions (where needed), and coordinating support from Pueblo Process Engineering. This individual will serve as the liaison between the Manufacturing Manager, Sr. Production Planners and Production/Processing personnel.

 

The Production Supervisor - Processing will review procedures, recommend and make improvements in processing/production operations through procedure edits and TWIs. This individual will train personnel, perform all supervisory functions for subordinate personnel and plan Processing/Production material requirements. This individual will participate in the FMEA, 8d investigations, and Control Plan process. Have the ability to generate NCMRs, and revise procedures. Must be 40-hour hazwoper trained.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Ensure all operations are carried out per Pueblo written procedures with safety and quality at the forefront.
  • Oversee all production/processing activities throughout the Pueblo Facility.
  • Understand and have the ability to help troubleshoot equipment issues and work closely with maintenance and engineering personnel. Communicate equipment and material needs with management, engineering, and maintenance personnel.
  • Manage shift staffing levels and make schedule changes with personnel when needed to allow timely execution of production plans.
  • Coordinate with the Operations and Manufacturing Manager on any issues related to safety, quality, and/or HR policies.
  • Track employee performance and provide positive and negative feedback, including disciplinary action if needed. Coordinate and facilitate cross training within processing/production department.
  • Attend Production meetings and assist in updating product scheduling.
  • Keep management informed of work status and fill out any related reports in a timely manner.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure Safety and Quality Management Systems are maintained, improved, and remain certified.
  • Ensure daily housekeeping and 6S activities are successfully completed.
  • Perform quarterly employee reviews and assessments for annual increases.
  • Approve time sheets, track attendance and training records.
  • Evaluate employee training progress and conduct operating unit certification evaluations and testing in coordination with Production Planner.
  • Working supervisor. Maintain job associated certifications and assist in Production/Processing tasks as needed.
  • Operate forklift and other manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Production Planner, and vendors of bulk materials to support product production.
  • Complete purchase orders to vendors in support of any materials or equipment required for production.
  • Supervise personnel to ensure timely and safe completion of Production/Processing activities and completion of other assigned activities such as training, housekeeping, safety inspections, etc.
  • Support Environmental Safety and Health and Quality department programs and requirements, new products, and special projects, as needed.
  • 40-hour Hazwoper trained, Incident Command Level Emergency Response Team certified at first opportunity after assignment.
  • Perform other duties, as required.
  • Ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift as required as well as be on call, work additional hours, and some weekends will be required.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in the chemical or semiconductor industry or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in high volume manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated strong EHS compliance and Job Safety culture and modeling safety behaviors in others.
  • Generate documentation such as Near misses, First aids, and Environmental reports.
  • Proficient use of computers and MS Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams.
  • Ability to lead teams and influence personnel, from Production/Processing level to management.
  • In depth knowledge of SAP working platform is required, must have a CMMS background.
  • Experience in operating a forklift and other manufacturing tools.
  • Ability to assist with electromechanical troubleshooting of systems.
  • Have the Ability to fill in for Manufacturing Manager as necessary.
  • Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

PAY RANGE: The pay range for this role is estimated at $85,000.00/yr. - $95,000.00/yr. with actual wage based on candidate’s qualifications and experience.
