Position Overview

Summary:  The Senior Training Specialist is responsible for design, development, and delivery of training for the FUJIFILM Biotechnologies Organization. They must be able to think creatively when working with Subject Matter Experts across the organization to translate complex ideas into effective training that pertains to trainee’s role and performance. Additionally, they must be proactive in identifying training needs of individuals and ensure they are met. An ability to prioritize and plan is essential to ensure training obligations and other duties are met.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Act as an ambassador for FUJIFILM Biotechnologies Quality Culture.
  • Support Global Harmonization efforts as appropriate.
  • Work with SMEs across all departments to assure Training quality.
  • Lead Quality and Site Wide Training Initiatives
  • Proactively identify training needs across the business, proposing and implementing actions to address them.
  • Develop and implement tools to demonstrate training effectiveness.
  • Own developmental training such as Training for Trainers.
  • Deliver Training for Trainers to ensure SMEs are competent to deliver training.
  • Develop and deliver timelines, service level agreements, and instructional design projects.
  • Assist area management with the development and maintenance of job-specific curricula for their areas.
  • Assist area management with deviation investigations involving training-related topics and human error issues.
  • Work with Quality management to implement effective training.
  • Work as a change agent to assist businesses in defining and addressing training needs.
  • Front site approach to Training in audits (as required).
  • Provide QA oversight for training materials produced across the business.
  • Design training packages and demonstrate effectiveness in the workplace.
  • Work within the Pharmaceutical Quality System to
  • Develop leading metrics to support FUJIFILM Biotechnologies Quality Culture.
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations for the production of drugs, biologics, or vaccine products.
  • Ability to convey knowledge and understanding in a manner that can be understood by all trainees.
  • Strong communicator who actively listens and can convey information clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Flexibility and strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels to ensure appropriate training and education is in place.
  • Apply adult learning principles and company design methodology to training materials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, data review and report writing skills.
  • Ability to set personal performance goals and provide input to departmental objectives.
  • Develop staff to maximize contributions to the team and the company.
  • Ability to multitask and easily prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Experience prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching.

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, specialized clothing including laboratory scrubs (pants and shirt), cleanroom (ISO 8 to ISO 5) gowning material and appropriate shoes required in most areas associated with this position.
  • Lifting to 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Use hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is required.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work weekends and off-shift hours, as needed to support manufacturing activities.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and three (3) years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with five (5)years of related experience OR
  • Associate's degree with seven (7) years of related experience OR
  • A High School Diploma and nine (9) years of related experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of cGMP experience.
