Position Overview

The Manager, Campaign Lifecycle leads the Manufacturing Campaign Lifecycle team and their associated activities. They ensure that campaign readiness and non-batch manufacturing activities are planned and executed to ensure efficient and compliant transition between products. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize business processes that directly support manufacturing operations. The Manager, Campaign Lifecycle ensures efficient execution while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives and operational goals.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

 

• Ensures campaign readiness and non-batch manufacturing activities are executed efficiently and with compliant transitions between products while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives and operational goals
• Collaborates cross-functionally to optimize business processes and drive results (e.g., Process Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Quality)
• Provides oversight of the Manufacturing Support team members on the execution and coordination of non-batch activities
• Supports the development of new materials due to new and incoming campaign or continuous improvement
• Adjusts on the floor Kanban material quantities due to changes in demand
• Acts as Manufacturing and Manufacturing Support representative for Tech Transfer activities related to new incoming process
• Responsible for planning, document creation, project management, and readiness related to:
- Execution of column packing related to new campaigns as well as in campaign packing activities
- UF cassette installation related to new campaigns
- Change Over document the transition from one campaign to another
- Restart of existing campaign
• Acts as functional lead for regulatory inspections and audits on their areas of oversite
• Manages, leads, and develops direct reports from Manufacturing Support team
• Administers company policies such as time off, shift work, and inclement weather that directly impact employees
• Completes required administrative tasks (e.g., timecard approvals, time off approvals, expense reports etc.)
• Coaches and guides direct reports to foster professional development
• Participates in the recruitment process and retention strategies to attract and retain talent, as needed
• Addresses performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partners with HR as needed for resolution
• Performs other duties, as assigned

 

Basic Requirements

 

• Master’s degree with emphasis in life science or engineering with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / biological manufacturing operations; OR
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in life science or engineering with 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / biological manufacturing operations; OR
• Associate’s degree in science with 9+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / biological manufacturing operations; OR
• High school diploma with 11+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / biological manufacturing operations
• 2-5 years of people management experience

 

Preferred Requirements

 

• Experience working in a changing, project driven organization
• Previous experience directly supporting manufacturing

 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to discern audible cues
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 10 pounds
