Position Overview

As the Product Manager for VSI, you will have deep understanding of marketing strategies and consumer behavior. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of marketing-related products and features. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, deliver innovative solutions, and enhance our marketing efforts to drive growth and brand visibility. The Product Manager is a resource for the global VSI business and must be able to transform the customer’s business / product needs into solutions regardless of geography. The Product Manager is expected to be able to focus on many tasks in parallel while working very closely with the R&D Team.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for marketing-related products, aligning with company goals and market trends.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify consumer needs, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to inform product decisions.
  • Product Roadmap: Create and maintain a clear product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback and business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, engineering, and other teams to define requirements, set priorities, and ensure successful product development.
  • Product Development: Manage the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and design to testing, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • User Experience (UX): Champion user-centric design principles to create exceptional user experiences that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Analytics and Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze product performance, using data insights to make informed decisions.
  • User Feedback: Gather and analyze user feedback through surveys, user testing, and customer interviews to iterate and improve product features.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and evaluate competitors' products and marketing strategies, identifying opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
  • KOL Management: Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders in specific areas of technology.
  • Maintain an awareness of Product Quality and Reliability.
  • Team member of the Go to Market team supplying project timeline, technical specifications, product benefits and configurations.
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
  • Participate in scientific meetings and tradeshows (travel required).
  • Responsible for generating all related documents for their product lines, including Sales Briefs, Product Briefs, Sole Source Specifications, Applications Notes, Imaging Guides, Protocols and White Papers.
  • Travel as necessary to support responsibilities.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

Knowledge/Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in science, biology, computer science, or engineering (all preferred); marketing, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in product management with a focus on marketing-related products or features.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, consumer behavior, and digital marketing channels.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
  • Experience with Agile or other product development methodologies is a plus.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to understand the business needs of the customer and VSI respectively.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into clear product requirements for R&D is a must.
  • Ability to think about the application of preclinical ultrasound in non-traditional ways is also a must.
  • Leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring, conflict resolution, and team building skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • PC experience in Windows environment with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations
