Position Overview

The Commercial Operations Analyst will provide day to day operational and analytical support to the VP, Commercial Strategy & Operations and other department managers. This individual will be expected to routinely provide insight and business recommendations based on analysis involving our data, markets, customers, strategy, and performance. This individual will be expected to develop accurate reporting tools to support sales objectives, identify opportunities for improvement with sales operations processes, play a key role in forecasting, and pricing.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Pull data from a variety of sources (Oracle and Salesforce.com) to perform data analysis and track key metrics, including quota attainment, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, etc.
  • Work across a global organization to ensure consistent reporting and operations are utilized globally
  • Build and maintain global forecast models. Manage inputs from a broad spectrum of stakeholders and incorporate them into a comprehensive view of markets by product category and geography
  • Own the forecasting process with historical trend analysis
  • Create pricing models to evaluate pricing for new products and ensure the company is still meeting all margin targets
  • Work with Application Analysts to upload correct pricing into both Oracle and SF.com
  • Ensure data integrity through monitoring and helping to define reporting structures
  • Provide support to market assessment and strategic planning initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, and assist in the implementation of new business processes
  • Ad hoc analysis to provide more insight into business decisions and strategy

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Undergrad degree or higher in business, finance, mathematics, statistics, or accounting is preferred, Or a combination of education and work history.
  • 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in Business Analytic with a focus on sales, marketing, finance or business operations
  • 3+ years of experience in analytical reporting
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau is preferred) and a knowledge of CRM systems and workflow (Salesforce.com is preferred)
  • Experience designing, developing and scripting reports & dashboards in MS Excel
  • Process-oriented, accountable and trustworthy

  • An analytical thinker; someone who not only performs tasks as requested, but looks at the data and takes the analysis one step further to provide better insights for the users and decision makers
  • Demonstrate a positive and confident personality when interacting with others
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail. 
  • The ability to assess requests, establish deliverable timelines and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent Power Point and Excel skills. Must be able analyze the data, but also present the information in a clear and concise manner to all levels within the organization

Salary and Benefits:

  • $85,000.00/yr - $112,000.00/yr depending on experience (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).

    • Eight (8) paid holidays per year
