Position Overview

Position Description

We are hiring a AP Specialist. The AP Specialist will oversee recurring Accounts Payable Administrative activities, DocuSign payment vouchers and Concur transactions postings, month-end financial close activities including calculating and posting necessary journal entries. Also, other projects as assigned.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable support to solve discrepancies issues - with close collaboration with other Accounting functions to ensure proper entry matching.
  • Reconcile intercompany vendor statements and AP subledger to the general ledger.
  • Maintenance and analysis of expense accrual schedules; preparation of journal entries to ensure proper timing recognition of expenses.
  • Prepare and process payment vouchers.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Month-end activities.
  • Accounts Payable processes including, but not limited to, processing PO and non-PO invoices, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation.
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end close process as required and performing any other related and special tasks assigned as needed.

 

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required.
  • Two to three years performing a similar function at a company with at least 100 employees.
  • Experience using an ERP system, SAP desired.
  • Must have good understanding of expense coding, cash postings and purchase orders process.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Accounting knowledge and understanding of Chart of Accounts is required.
  • Must have strong experience with Excel and Word. Understand the basic functions of a PC operating system so electronic files can be opened and saved in an organized manner.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all departments in a professional manner.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base hourly range for this position is $23.46 - $30.50. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
