Position Overview

We are hiring for a Web Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of an internal resource website. This role involves managing a small team of web developers and designers to ensure the website functions effectively to meet the needs of the organization. The Web Manager will collaborate with various departments to gather requirements, implement new features, and ensure the website is a reliable resource for all internal users.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of developers and designers to maintain and improve the internal resource website.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of new features and functionalities.
  • Coordinate with various departments to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Ensure website performance, security, and reliability.
  • Conduct regular website audits to identify and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and analyze website usage and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and enforce website policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and accessibility.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal users as needed.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of website updates and enhancements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in web development and design.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Education

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in web development.
  • Proven experience managing a team of web professionals.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, ASP, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS)
  • Proficient in web analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. 

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 0-5 years in a lead or management position
  • Experience with backend technologies such as PHP, Node.js, or Python.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong understanding of web security best practices.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Salary and Benefits: (Include for roles that are/can be based in NY and CO)
