Position Description

 

We are hiring a Commercial Operations- Intern. The Commercial Operations- Intern will support the Commercial Ops team with customer, contact, and product data cleanup in SAP and Salesforce (SFDC), while gaining hands-on experience with CRM processes and systems testing in a life sciences environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with customer, contact, and product data cleanup, including identifying duplicates, gaps, and inconsistencies
  • Support maintenance of key attributes (e.g. account details, hierarchies, product information)
  • Assist with SFDC case management and CPQ testing, including validation of workflows and data accuracy
  • Help perform ad hoc data cleanup and validation as needed during the project 
  • Learn how SFDC supports Sales and Customer Service teams
  • Gain practical experience with SFDC
  • Understand the role of data quality in commercial operations
  • Develop foundational analytical and system-testing skills  
  • Cleaned and validated customer, contact, and product records in SAP and SFDC
  • Documented list of data issues identified and resolved
  • Testing results and feedback from case management and CPQ workflows
  • Final presentation summarizing the project scope, work completed, key findings, and recommendations 

Requirements: 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following or a related field:
    • Business Analytics
    • Information Systems / Management Information System (MIS)
    • Data Analytics or Data Management
    • Business Administration
    • Supply Chain, Operations, or Sales Operations 
  • Coursework or hands-on experience related to data cleansing, CRM systems, analytics, or sales operations is preferred
  • Interest in Salesforce (SFDC), customer data, and business systems strongly preferred
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Good oral and written communications skills 
  • Must be able to speak and hear, use a computer and telephone.

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is ___ per hour. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on the level of degree in pursuit.
