Position Overview

The Senior People & Culture Coordinator drives and coordinates the onboarding process for all new and transferring employees. This highly visible role liaises with cross-functional departments within and outside of the NC Region. The Senior PNC Coordinator manages multiple administrative priorities, competing deadlines as well as recurring and non-routine PNC processes.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Ensures new employees have a seamless onboarding experience
  • Maintains employee data/files (promotions, transfers, terminations, etc.) in HRIS (ADP, Workday) and other PNC systems; completes compliance audits; ensures accuracy and partners with HLUS Payroll as needed
  • Facilitates New Hire Orientation and completes onboarding activities with timeliness and accuracy (e.g., completes HR onboarding paperwork (I-9s, E-Verify, etc.), creates Payroll forms, requests all appropriate new hire systems access, etc.)
  • Coordinates New Hire Orientation (e.g., updates presentations in PowerPoint, delivers content on HR topics, reserves conference rooms, sends calendar invitations, etc.)
  • Recommends and implements New Hire Orientation improvements to ensure content and flow is fresh, relevant to the changing needs of the NC Region, and conducive to adult learning principles
  • Manages routine reports and dashboards to various departments, including FLB Global and the site leadership team (SLT); completes required State and Federal compliance reports; maintains organizational charts, anticipates needs of internal customers
  • Subject matter expert (SME) for onboarding process questions from hiring managers and new hires
  • Manages PNC email inbox; responds to routine employee and manager questions; routes more complex questions to appropriate process owners
  • Manages HR Calendar
  • Partners with relevant stakeholders (managers, IT, Facilities, HLUS Payroll, HLUS Travel, HLUS Benefits, etc.) which includes presenting New Hire Orientation, requesting Payroll form signatures, notifying about employee changes for systems access updates, etc.
  • Works closely in a team environment; partners with cross-functional teams across multiple FLB locations
  • Ensures the employee experience represents our “People First” motto
  • Assists with PNC programs and events (e.g., Intern Program, Wellness Events, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Ability to take initiative and efficiently meet the demands of multiple internal customers; exceptional customer-service skills
  • Ability to independently resolve issues and seek guidance or clarification when needed

Basic Requirement / Certifications 

  • High School or GED and 4-6 years of previous experience working in a
    fast-paced customer-focused Human Resources department in an
    administrative or equivalent role OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of previous experience working in a
    fast-paced customer-focused Human Resources department in an
    administrative or equivalent role.
  • At least 1 year of basic computer skills in Microsoft Office products
    required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused PNC department in an administrative or equivalent role OR

  • Associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused PNC department in an administrative or equivalent role OR

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of previous experience working in a fast-paced customer-focused PNC department in an administrative or equivalent role OR

  • Experience facilitating new hire orientation or onboarding

  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office products

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time up to 60 minutes

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time up to 60 minutes 

  • Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions that include wrists, hands and/or fingers. 

  • Ability to operate machinery and/or power tools. 

  • Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 10 pounds.
