The Sr. Manager - Facilities Maintenance, under the leadership of the Director of Facilities, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day utilities operations, maintenance strategies, repairs and troubleshooting support, outages response and vendor management on behalf of FLBT. Facilities, utilities and process equipment includes but are not limited to bioreactors, incubators, filtration skids, chromatography skids, autoclaves, freezers, refrigerators, walk-in cold rooms, QC/PD lab equipment, MCRs, MBUs, water purification and distillation units, air compressors and dryers, process gases, air handling units, air cooled chillers, steam/condensing boilers, wastewater treatment systems, among others. This position will also provide support during new facilities and equipment installation, working with the corresponding Engineering, Calibration, Operations, Automation, Validation and Quality department personnel, and with the various contractors and consultants working on the projects. This position will work closely with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) to develop and ensure a safe workplace is developed; with Procurement/Facilities Support for development of repair parts and spare parts strategies; and with Engineering for the technical background, installation, improvement, and reliability of the Facilities and equipment.
This position is intended to accelerate product delivery and enhance system reliability through automation, infrastructure, and foster collaboration with development teams.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for development of CMP processes as well as product introduction and implementation of CMP products at customer sites. The engineer performs formulation optimizations for developing new CMP chemistries. The primary job role is to develop total CMP processes and use all metrology tools at our Mesa, AZ facility. In this role, the engineer will also run product demonstrations for our customers.
The Sr. Manager - Facilities Support Operations under the leadership of the Director of Facilities will be responsible for managing the daily maintenance operations including the CCMS/CMMS operation, the work order lifecycle process, the Planning & Scheduling of Maintenance and Calibration activities, and the MRO inventory across multiple facilities. This position will be responsible for the oversight of the maintenance support operations through strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMPs in a Biotechnology Facility. This position will coordinate with other team members, such as manufacturing operators, engineers, maintenance and calibrations technicians, validation, quality, and external suppliers to provide a high level of excellence over the maintenance operational activities of FLBT. Also, this position should ensure that departmental milestones and goals are met in accordance with the approved plans and budgets.
This position is intended to process all outgoing shipments, incoming purchase orders, incoming returned goods, schedule, and process parts for repair, maintain the order and the neatness of the warehouse, assist in the physical counts of inventory, respond to off-hours emergency parts requests, and perform all other duties as assigned.

This role leads a shift team and is responsible for manufacturing bulk drug substance. This manufacturing facility is 24/7 operational and the role may require to be flexible with working hours.
As an upstream supervisor, you’ll lead and inspire a team of manufacturing associates, supporting the start up of a new large scale cell culture facility. The Upstream area includes: An inoculum lab, two seed reactor trains (each with 4 reactors of increasing size), four 20,000L production reactors, a harvest suite, media preparation, and parts prep area.
You and your team will work a 2-2-3, 12 hour shift schedule to support the ongoing activities in these areas.
You’ll start out leading a team in project phase supporting commissioning and qualification efforts in addition to helping prepare the facility to be operational ready. It’s an exciting opportunity to help build out processes and procedures in preparation of the first GMP run later this year.
